Dr. Sarah Fritz graduated from the University of North Texas with an M.S. in clinical psychology in 2012 and a Ph.D. in clinical health psychology in 2017. While in the Center, her research interests included stigma and coping processes related to minority stress among HIV-positive and LGBT populations. She also had a particular interest in positive coping resources (e.g., resilience, social support) and examining racial/ethnic differences in mental health outcomes and health disparities. Dr. Fritz completed her internship at the Michael E. DeBakey VA Medical Center in Houston, Texas. She is currently there completing her postdoctoral residency with an emphasis in LGBT interprofessional health, which is one of 9 positions nationally in the VA system with a special focus on providing affirming mental health care to LGBT Veterans.
